Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. This will be your dry mixture.
  3. In a separate large bowl, combine the melted butter, almond butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the almond butter mixture. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Ensure no flour pockets remain.
  6. Pour the dough into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut them into 12 squares and enjoy.
