Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 3 1/4 cups (410g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
  • 1 cup (180g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (240g) Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
  7. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough and flatten it slightly in your hand. Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center and wrap the dough around it, rolling it into a ball to seal the Nutella inside.
  8. Place each dough ball onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
