Ingredients
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 3 1/4 cups (410g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
- 1 cup (180g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (240g) Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough and flatten it slightly in your hand. Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center and wrap the dough around it, rolling it into a ball to seal the Nutella inside.
- Place each dough ball onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
